7 reasons why focusing on one aim is SO important in building successful internet businesses
February 19, 2007 on 3:24 pm | In Achieve Financial Freedom, Make money with Adsense, alterpreneurs, home based business, internet business, make money online | No CommentsIt’s so easy to get distracted from your primary business purpose, particularly when you’re working for yourself.
At the beginning of the day, the deluge of emails can be overwhelming and it’s tempting to spend hours wading through them.
If you’re going to be successful, it’s essential that you stay focused on your primary aim – to build a successful business.
Here’s 7 tips to success for business building:-
Decide what your primary aim is – whether you want to build a successful site selling ebooks, build an information site, be an eBay powerseller – whatever it is, you need to know the one thing you’re aiming for
Set Targets – create targets to help you achieve that goal. Break them down into daily, weekly and monthly targets. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time ! That’s also the smart way to build your business, don’t get overwhelmed by how far you have to go, work out what steps you need to take to get there.
Make them SMART
Smart targets are specific, measureable, achievable, realistic and time-limited. For example, for a new website, your target might be “to sell $100 worth of products within 90 days”.
Write it down
Write down your targets in bullet pointed format – and put them somewhere you’ll see them every day. This is a helpful reminder to keep doing something every day and can also help you stay on task when you’re tempted to get distracted.
Create Rewards
Add in rewards for when you reach goals. In our example, how would you choose to reward yourself for actually achieving $100 of sales ? Celebrate each step of success along the way.
Keep at it
Even when nothing seems to be happening, keep working at it. Most businesses need a lot of ground work before anything starts to happen – a bit like a building site, where they seem to spend ages on the foundations, and yet it’s just a matter of days when the actual building finally starts to appear.
Focus, focus, focus – stay focused. Don’t get distracted from your main purpose – keep working towards your goals and don’t quit!
Adsense Freedom – are you happy with your Adsense revenue?
September 4, 2006 on 10:36 pm | In Achieve Financial Freedom, Make money with Adsense, alterpreneurs, home based business, internet business, make money online | No CommentsI’ve finally finished the Adsense Freedom course, which is free for people to sign up to if they’re interested in making more money with Google Adsense. Although Adsense is a relatively easy way to make money, many people’s Adsense revenue isn’t enough to buy a weekly cup of coffee!
The Adsense Freedom newsletter offers a new and different approach – ideal for newbies, but just as effective as for people who’ve been online for a while but struggling to earn a good income.

New Software for Building Your Websites
August 30, 2006 on 9:42 am | In Achieve Financial Freedom, Affiliate marketing, Create content, Make money with Adsense, alterpreneurs, home based business, internet business, make money online, seo | No CommentsThe search continues to find good software to build websites with. Although I’ve been using Yahoo Sitebuilder
for over a year now and am very pleased with it – I felt that I needed something more to start building my latest websites.
Hence I’ve been looking around to see what the experts are using and recommending. One piece of software that I’m sorely tempted to try is X Site Pro – built for individuals who are really looking to build profitable online businesses. It automatically integrates Adsense into your sites, allows instant template changes, creates a Google Sitemap in xml for you, two clicks to create a privacy page (essential these days for Google to see you as a “serious” site), built in pop-in and pop-up creator, customised & easy to follow seo optimisation tips for each page, remembers details of your affiliate links – what am I waiting for?
Did I mention that it also has a 300 page user manual – I’ve tried other softwares but have always been let down by the lack of an adequate and detailed manual to really understand the full functionality.
The only other tool which I have looked at is the Wordpress blog created by semiologic, but I have to confess that I am put off by the fact that you do need some technical knowledge to get it going – although it seems to be all bells and whistles once it’s up and running. Jonathan Leger uses it for his blog at http://www.jonathanleger.com/ – although I don’t love the font he uses, you can see what a clean and easy to follow site it is.
Anyhow, I’m now going to sit down and plan out my next website, which I am pretty certain I’ll be building with XSitePro.
Risk Free – How To Write An ebook
August 29, 2006 on 2:27 pm | In Achieve Financial Freedom, Writing an ebook, alterpreneurs, home based business, internet business, make money online | No CommentsThere’s plenty of free information on writing your first ebook at places like www.ezinearticles.com . Plenty of people who couldn’t write a conventional book have written and published their own ebook. The key tip is to write about something you know about – don’t just find something that you think will make money and try and write about that.
The big internet marketing successes are people who wrote about what they know – even if it may seem small and obscure to you.
Have you got an idea for your book but just don’t know where to start, then How to Write and Publish Your Own eBook in 7 Days – is guaranteed to get you started. It’s the book I read before I started writing my first ebook, and I’ve now got several books successfully written and selling. Jim & Joe are very successful in internet marketing and their writing is very easy to follow and understand – each time I decide to write a new book, then I get the book out again for reference and inspiration! Try it out for two full months – risk free.
You can even get an ebook written for you by the freelancers at Elance – I’ve had two books written in this way and it was both quick and successful. I just jotted a few notes and titles down and the writers did the rest – and much more affordable that I’d have thought.
Love the ebooks covers at ebookecovers.com and, of course, Killer Covers – an aptly named company!
If you want to become a published author – writing and publishing your own e-book is probably

Cash in on Google Adsense
June 1, 2006 on 11:46 pm | In Achieve Financial Freedom, Make money with Adsense, alterpreneurs, home based business, internet business, make money online | No CommentsLike many people, I keep hearing all these stories about folks making a killing with Adsense just by putting up a few simple sites. As you know, I already make good money from Adsense through several sites which I have spent blood, sweat and tears building.
Hence I’ve only just found out about this guy who has been quietly raking in the cash from Adsense using some software that he wrote for himself. His amazing software program creates an unlimited number of unique Adsense content sites that bring the search engines flooding to his door.
It uses simple but radical new techniques to build sites that avoid the duplicate content filters being applied by the search engines. If you’ve got some PLR articles lying about, you can feed them into this program, and it will spit out complete optimized websites faster than you can blink.
If you act quickly you can steal this program for a fraction of the usual price, but, if you get to the website at Website Article Wizard, and the special deal isn’t available, I’m sorry, but you’ve missed out, and the deal might never be repeated again.
I nearly fell off my chair when I visited the site, and checked out his income statement. He used it to earn over $5000 while he was on vacation, lazing on the beach, and he’ll even show you the proof of this.
You can watch him demonstrate exactly how it works, and he’ll let you check out some of the websites built with it.
He is reluctant to let too many people get their hands on the program, so that it doesn’t lose its’ effectiveness, and I don’t know how much long he is going to keep selling it.
I wish I’d known about it sooner. I’ve grabbed my copy and already started using it to produce my own empire of Adsense content sites. The price at the moment is crazy, although he’s threatening to put it up shortly – too right, he’s practically giving it away.
You really should check out Website Article Wizard right now, while the program is still available.
I hope you’re not too late.
